SkyFest Kite Festival
Experience the magic of Kites Over French Prairie as Great American Kites fills the sky with giant kites—some as big as a house—in an unforgettable aerial show at French Prairie Gardens. Enjoy daily professional kite flying from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM, the exciting Candy Cannon, Parachute BOL Races, a public kite flying area, and an on-site kite store. Your admission also includes all the family fun French Prairie Gardens is known for, including tractor wagon rides, giant slides, farm animals, obstacle courses, corn maze, pumpkin patch, and more. Bring the whole family for a day of sky-high excitement, delicious treats from our Farm Market & Bakery, and unforgettable memories!
ABOUT THE FARM
Owned and operated by the Pohlschneider Family. French Prairie Gardens started as a road side stand in 1987. In 1995, the farm market was built and have since expanded to include a scratch bakery, full garden center, and many fun agri-tourism events!
95% of the plants and flowers you will find in the garden center are grown on site in our greenhouses by us! All the fresh baked goods from our bakery on site are prepared with scratch ingredients and baked by Karren every morning. Visit the Farm Bar featuring 12 taps of beer and hard cider and serving up family recipes for lunch on weekends. Our Farm Market features many gourmet food items and gifts along with an Espresso Bar and an Ice Cream Bar. In addition to French Prairie Gardens we also operate a 500 acre Grass Seed, Wheat, Clover and Hazelnut Farm.
The farm continues to run by family and is now operated by John and Karren Pohlschneider, their children Eric, Katey, and Stacy.
PET POLICY: Sorry, pets are not allowed. Oregon law prohibits all animals except for service animals in grocery stores, restaurants, and other food establishments.
Service animals are trained working dogs, NOT pets.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a service animal as a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. Dogs or Therapy animals whose function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals according to the ADA, even with a doctor’s note. Our Insurance DOES NOT allow Pets in the event area or other areas of the farm.
